A Glimpse Into Our DNA
At the University of Michigan, my studies in Psychology provided me deep insights into human behavior and relationships, laying the foundation for my journey into family law. Later, I earned both a Juris Doctor and a Master’s of Jurisprudence in Legal Doctrine and Analysis from Michigan State University College of Law.
In law school, I discovered my true passion: Child and Family Advocacy. I was honored with the Jurisprudence Award in Integrative Law and Social Work. From that point on, I've dedicated myself to assisting families during some of life’s most turbulent phases.
I'm proud to be a part of the California Lawyers Association, the Santa Clara County Bar Association, and the San Mateo County Bar Association. My active involvement in the Minor's Counsel Subcommittee of Santa Clara County allows me to work closely with other attorneys in supporting families embroiled in complex and emotionally fraught cases. I understand the challenges inherent to family law and am committed to providing compassionate and effective legal representation to help during this difficult time. Listening actively to my clients' concerns, I tailor my approach to match their unique needs and circumstances.
Premarital and Postnuptial Agreements are among my specialties. I'm passionate about guiding clients through the legal and financial dimensions of their relationships, pre or post matrimony. Having witnessed the full spectrum of divorce outcomes, I recognize the paramount importance of preparation. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two kids, and our dogs. Whether I'm engaging in a Peloton class, hiking, or traveling with my family, these moments provide the balance that fuels my professional dedication.

"I had an incredible experience with Olsen & Magnan.
While studying at Boston University, I quickly recognized my draw towards roles that allowed me to serve and connect with individuals. This drive led to internships at the Department of Veterans Affairs and two congressional offices, where I developed an appreciation for working with a broad spectrum of people, each experiencing their own unique challenges.
After graduating, I began working as a certified paralegal in a law firm. It was there that I realized how much the law appealed to me, and I decided to further my studies at Santa Clara University School of Law.
My time at Santa Clara was full of learning and opportunities. I co-authored "Confronting the Challenge of the High-Conflict Personality in Family Court", a Santa Clara University funded project aimed at providing family law attorneys and judges more insight on conflict in the family law setting. I was proud to receive the Witkin Award for Legal Writing and Research. Additionally, I was selected for Honors Moot Court and served as co-president of the Family Law Society. All these experiences paved the way for me to graduate with my Juris Doctor, and I was honored to do so Cum Laude.
One of the highlights during my time at Santa Clara was interning at the Santa Clara County Family Justice Center. Working with experienced judges gave me a deeper understanding of family law and reinforced my decision to specialize in this area. Drawing from my varied experiences, I tailor my approach to best suit the unique circumstances of each client. I believe that my role goes beyond just legal representation—it's about providing a guiding hand during challenging times, backed by both empathy and expertise. My dedication is simple: achieving the best outcomes for my clients through focused, compassionate advocacy.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our daughter, and our dog, Guinness.
